For patients concerned that they may have coronavirus or may have come into contact with someone who has, the NHS 111 online service has created coronavirus pages that tell patients what they should do based on their particular circumstances.

These can be accessed at: https://111.nhs.uk/service/covid-19

If you have a SKYPE ID we can now provide video consultations.

We are a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing a high quality of care which is sensitive to the needs of our patients.  Our aim is not only to help when you are ill, but also to keep you healthy.  We would like you to use this brochure along with the help of the Queens Medical Centre team to find out about the various services we offer and the standard we are aiming to achieve.  We can only achieve our goal by working together.

Our surgery has been purpose built to provide for all patients needs. It is a prominent building situated in the heart of Maltby, across the road from the local pharmacy. Historically, the site has been a lime stone quarry, a local fairground and a petrol station respectively. Work on construction of the Medical Centre was started on 5 June 1988 and completed on 24 March 1989. The first consultation was held on 28 March 1989.

Care Navigation

Care Navigation is about getting the right care, by the right person, first time for patients in Rotherham.  The programme started in April 2017 and from June 2018,  Rotherham GP Practices are offering their patients some alternatives to having a GP appointment, if it is suitable for them.  The Receptionist will ask you a couple of questions to find out the nature of your call and they may suggest another service that would be more appropriate for you to attend.

Due to increasing demand nationally for GP appointments, Care Navigation is being rolled out in various locations across the country.  By cutting out unnecessary GP appointments and enabling patients to self-refer this should provide a quicker service for patients and helps save GP appointments.
